About AMHI


The Appalachian Mind Health Initiative is led by a team of independent researchers from around the world. The Principal Investigators of this effort are: Robert Bossarte, PhD: West Virginia University and Ronald Kessler, PhD: Harvard Medical School.The Appalachian Mind Health Initiative (AMHI) is a study to see if electronic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (eCBT) is a good treatment option for people living with depression in rural communities. eCBT is a kind of counseling that is done over the internet that helps you learn new ways to think about tricky situations.
